MANAL pavilion: The first Think Earth case study project unveiled
The first Think Earth case study project was inaugurated at the HSLU in Horw. The pavilion, initiated by Oxara, was built with innovative earth-based materials and forms the basis for pioneering research in the field of sustainable construction.

The MANAL pavilion, initiated by Oxara, recently opened at the Lucerne University of Applied Sciences and Arts (HSLU) in Horw as the first of five Think Earth case study projects. The structural engineering of the pavilion was completed by Think Earth partners HSLU and WaltGalmarini, with building elements in timber and various Oxara products: earth-based Oxabloc bricks, stabilized poured earth Nossim, and recycled concrete with the cement-free Oulesse® binder. The pavilion and its materials will now be monitored for future research purposes and will lead to new insights over time. Congratulations to our partners at Oxara and all those involved in the planning, realization, and monitoring of this great case study building.
